This Moment is Yours

a Misty Mindfulness Moment

We’re going to take a few minutes just to be here.
Not perfectly.
Just present.
Whatever that means for you today.

You can close your eyes if that feels safe.
Or just lower your gaze, blur the screen, or focus on something that doesn’t ask for much.
There’s no right way to show up here.
There’s just your way.

Start by noticing:
Are you holding your breath?
Clenching something?
Trying to hold yourself together in ways you didn’t even realize?

If so, that’s okay.
Let’s breathe now.
Not big dramatic breath.
Just enough.

Breathe in…
and let it fall out.
No forcing. No fixing.
Just… breathing.

Let your shoulders drop
maybe just a little more.
Let the chair or floor hold more of you.
Let the moment catch you like a hammock.

Now ask yourself quietly:
“Where am I right now?”

Not where your body is.
But where your mind went.
Where your energy is circling.
Where your emotions are hiding.

Just… check in.
And whatever the answer is,
you don’t have to change it.
You just get to name it.

If your thoughts are scattered,
that’s fine.
If you’re checked out,
that’s also fine.
If you’re feeling soft, tense, disconnected, or too full
that’s allowed too.

Now if you want, bring one hand somewhere near your body
chest, belly, leg, heart, arm

Just a quiet:
“Hey. I see you.”

Your body is doing so much to get you here.
To this meeting.
To this day.
To this breath.
Let it be seen for that.

Now one more breath in
and as you exhale, imagine letting go of just one thing.
A moment. A pressure. A sound. A thought.
Anything you don’t want to carry into the rest of this group.

Let it drop.
Just for now.

And as you come back into the room,
remember:

You are already doing it.
This moment is yours.
And it’s enough.
