People don’t want to talk about pain.

People don’t want to talk about pain.
People don’t want to name discomfort.
They avoid it, spiritualize it, minimize it, joke it away.
But they all go through it too.
Every single one of them is carrying something heavy
they just don’t want anyone else to see them struggle.

And then they wonder
“Why is there so much division?”
“Why do people feel so isolated?”
“Why does everything feel fake?”

It’s because nobody’s telling the truth.
Not the real truth.
Not the kind that says
“I’m hurting and I don’t want to hide it anymore.”

But we do, we talk about it.
But they get scared because
it’s something they don’t want to see in themselves.
