I think both of them make sense. We all have different styles of loving, different views of how a relationship should be, and different needs in a relationship. I liked the love story better than I did the love color because I have always believed that we all have these scripts in our heads and we tend to act out according to them. Like it said in the article, some people wonder why they keep finding the same partner and the same things happen over and over again, well this is because they do things, act in ways that bring about the same outcomes. This can also be applied to other areas in life, not just in romantic relationships and this story can also be changed.
My love story was highest in the garden story, then travel story, then business story. My love color was highest in agape, then eros, then average in storge and pragma, and no ludus.
To an extent yes they are valid. Maybe not completely but they do offer some insights. The garden story and travel story are typical because we all just want someone to love and grow with together. I do believe that we need to work on the relationship and need to be on the same page for it to work. The business story is something that I believe only started applying to me as I got older and needed different things in life, like having everything in order.
In regards to the love color, I am not surprised that agape is what I scored highest in. I believe that in love, whether it be romantic or familial love, you should do everything you can for those people. Eros would have been higher in my younger days when passion dominates everything but definitely never ludus. I do not believe in trying to mate with as many people as possible. At this point in my life, I want stability and companionship, someone to spend life with and grow as a family.
Like I mentioned about the business story being recent and eros not being highest anymore, yes they definitely can change. This change may be brought about by having different priorities in life and valuing things differently, which can definitely happen as we age and evolve as people.
Some problems might be that we cannot really categorize people as we are all changing and evolving. They are good starting points but might only reflect you in the now, and they can be narrow that some people won’t really fit into any of them.
