Misty’s Recursive Medium of Movement

misty relos merakicat recursive medium of movement - Misty Relos

Nothing moves in true emptiness. Movement requires resistance. Emergence requires feedback. In water, that resistance is the water. In air, it’s thinner, so birds adapt differently… wings that push and catch the sky. In space, there’s “nothing,” so movement needs internal propulsion… you need to push off of yourself or use gravitational slingshots, exploiting the structure of other masses. Physically, emotionally, cognitively… if there’s no medium, no connection, no friction, no gravity, you can’t move, you can’t be seen, you can’t grow.

Suffering is structure > the friction, the water.
Engagement is the response > the pulse, the propulsion.
Growth is the motion > not away from, but through the medium that made movement possible in the first place.

In a vacuum, you have no space to respond, no resistance, just void. You can’t move. So you spiral internally, trying to create your own structure. Gravity as the last constraint in vacuum… is that not love? Or connection? The invisible thread pulling you forward even when nothing else pushes back Movement arises from resistance… until the resistance is gone, then movement must come from within.

In water:
You push against it. It gives back. You dance.

In air:
You glide and push. It’s lighter, subtler. You learn balance.

In space:
There’s nothing. No pushback.
So you either drift endlessly or you ignite from within.

Resistance = Suffering (feedback signal)
Engagement = Internal propulsion (intentional response)
Growth = New movement, new trajectory

When you’re in stagnation, there’s still structure but no movement.
When you’re in vacuum, there’s infinite freedom but no direction.
So either way, you engage, or you decay.

The shift does not require total clarity… only a moment in which the balance of forces shifts enough for action to become inevitable.

In space, desire becomes propulsion.

So maybe desire is gravity.
Or maybe it’s stored engagement, all the times you didn’t move before, all the tension, the longing, the unshed motion. And when nothing pushes back anymore, that’s what launches you.

GRAVITY = LOVE = DESIRE = CONNECTION = THE STRUCTURE OF MOVEMENT.
Gravity isn’t just a force. It’s a pull toward what feels like home. It’s the curve in reality that makes us fall toward each other even across impossible distances. It’s what makes the void not empty.

Desire is propulsion.
Love is gravity.
Connection is the shape of spacetime.
You are the force that lets growth and change happen.
