A Pause to Be With Yourself

a Misty Mindfulness Moment

If you haven’t already, just get a little more comfortable
whatever that means right now.
No big shifts. Just something small.
A little more breath. A little less tension in the shoulders.

We’re not trying to become peaceful or enlightened right now.
We’re just giving ourselves a break from all the trying.

Let your body be here.
Let your breath do what it does.
You don’t have to guide it or deepen it.
Just let it breathe you.

If your mind is bouncing around, that’s not a problem.
If part of you is skeptical, that’s okay too.
You don’t have to be in a certain state to be present.
You just have to be honest about the one you’re in.

So take a little scan of yourself.
No judgment. Just check in.

What’s the texture of this moment?
What’s holding tension?
What’s asking to be felt?

You don’t need to force anything open.
Just be in the same room as your body and let that be enough.

If something hard is here,
you can let it sit nearby.
You don’t have to push it away or pull it closer.
Just let it exist, without needing to solve it.
That’s a kind of love, too.

There’s nothing weak about acknowledging what hurts.
There’s nothing passive about softening your grip on control.
Sometimes letting things be is the strongest thing you can do.

So take another breath.
Not as a reset. Not as a ritual.
Just as proof you’re still here.

You don’t have to know what shifted.
You don’t have to do anything with this moment.
If something stayed with you, let it stay.
If nothing did, that’s fine too.
