Noticing What’s True

a Misty Mindfulness Moment

Let’s take just a little moment together.

You don’t need to push anything away.
You don’t have to force yourself to calm down.
This isn’t about clearing your mind or getting it “right.”
It’s just about noticing what’s already here… and letting it be.

You can close your eyes or lower your gaze
just something that helps you turn the volume down on the outside.
Or not. You know what feels safe. Trust that.

Start by finding your breath.
Not changing it. Just finding it.
See if you can follow one inhale…
And then one exhale.
Not because it’s supposed to fix you
but because it’s already happening.

Notice where your body is holding things right now.
Maybe in your chest… your jaw… your tummy…
You don’t need to relax it. Just acknowledge it.
Like: “Yeah, that’s there. That’s part of me too.”

If your thoughts are spinning or bouncing around, you’re not doing anything wrong.
That’s just how minds move.
Just notice it. And maybe say,
“Okay, brain. I see you. But right now, I’m just being here.”

Now… see if you can let this question hang in the air:
“What’s actually true right now?”

Not what your fear says.
Not what you’ve been told.
Just right now.
In this body.
In this moment.

What’s here?

You might not get a clear answer.
That’s okay.
The point isn’t to force clarity
it’s to pause long enough that truth has space to show up.

Try saying to yourself:
My emotions are valid.
But they are not the whole story.
I’m allowed to feel and to check what’s real.

Let that last one echo a little.

You don’t have to choose
between caring about your feelings
or caring about the facts.

You get to do both.
That’s what we’re practicing.

Take one last breath.
One that belongs to you.

When you’re ready, you can bring yourself back.
