a Misty Mindfulness Moment
Before we dive into the work part of our day, we’re going to take a few minutes to just arrive. Not as the version of us who has everything figured out, or who’s trying to keep it all together but just as we are right now.
You don’t need to turn your camera off or on. You don’t even need to close your eyes if that’s not your thing. This is just space for you to land in your own body. Even for a moment.
Let’s start by noticing the breath.
Not changing it. Just noticing.
Inhale…
…and exhale.
Inhale…
…and exhale.
Imagine your breath isn’t something you control
but something that tells you where you are.
Each inhale a signal from your body, saying: I’m here. I’m alive.
Now gently scan through your body.
Notice what’s here.
No need to fix or change anything.
Just listen.
Maybe you feel tension in your shoulders.
Or a weight in your chest.
Or a soft kind of tired under your eyes.
Whatever you find just say, “Okay. You’re allowed.”
This is a way of saying, “Hey, something matters to me.”
You don’t need to name it out loud. Just acknowledge it.
You are not separate from your feelings.
You are in conversation with them.
Now, gently bring awareness to your environment.
Maybe the texture of what you’re sitting on.
The temperature of the air.
A sound in the room.
Let these small details anchor you
to remind you
You are here. Right now. With us. In this moment.
Even in this tiny pause…
you’re allowed to just be.
You can come back to this any time.
This is not just about stillness
You are a system in motion.
And today, we begin from that place.
